Our Approach
Guardian pest control has spent years refining our approach towards an effective, safe and affordable pest control for business across Wellington
Inspection
Inspections are the first and most important step toward an effective treatment. During the inspection, we’ll identify the pest, species, high-traffic areas, root cause, future risks, entry points, and more.
Site Plan
A site plan is the second step toward a safe and effective treatment. For some pests, further investigation is needed before planning; for others, we can move straight into a treatment plan. This includes what treatment is required, visit frequency, products used, possible risks to staff, technicians and the public, and how these risks will be minimised. Site plans are usually based around a 12-month programme with clear steps along the way. Health and safety is always our first and last consideration.
Treatment
Treatment of the problem is not always a one-off. From the site plan, we’ll work out the best course of treatment. Depending on the pest type, this may include baiting, dusting, trapping, spraying, fumigation, and more. Rest assured, we’ll use the safest and most effective treatment approach available.
Maintenance / Prevention
Maintaining bait stations, sprays, and having a prevention plan in place is the only way to achieve a long-term solution against pests. We’ll ensure the appropriate steps, maintenance, follow-ups, and recommendations are in place to get the problem sorted and help prevent it long term.
